We are wanting to put 1200 x 1200 opening in a solid brick load bearing wall. the opening will be 900 above ffl and require a 150 steel angle for the lintel. the opening will need to be finished off with a timber reveal and architrave. i imagine propping will be required for the apartment level above us. appropriate structural advice will be forwarded after we ascertain an estimate of the costs.
