We are wanting to convert a single garage into a home office. there is currently a roller door, approx 2400mm (w) x 1900mm (h). we are wanting to single brick approx 2400mm (w) x 1500mm (h) of this space to create a new the external wall, the remaining of this space will need to have an unopenable window fitted to it, that is weather/water proof. there is also another large window in one end of the garage and we are wanting to remove the current window, brick up approx half of the window space and install a new/smaller timber framed window (approx 900mm x 900mm). there is also currently a small doorway (approx 700mm x 1800mm), which we are wanting to brick up as well, and also fit a smaller frosted bathroom window to this space. the new timber framed window would be approx 700mm (w) x 1400mm (h). we would also need to ensure that this wall is water/weather proof upon installation. the windows currently are not purchased - are we best to purchase these prior to the bricking being done, and then have the bricks cut/installed to fit? or have a brick layer measure the space and the based on where the mortar is currently confirm what size window we would need to have made? can someone please come out to my place in ramsgate to quote on the brick work, with the installation of the windows, as soon as possible. thanks tracey ps: as an optional 'nice to have' is it possible for a broken down quote to be completed, with the option of trowel bagging the outside of the shed which is approx 8000mm x 4000mm minus doorway/window spaces.
