Bricklayer required Job Discription: Existing Double Carport that is attached to existing house is being converted into a Double Garage, the following items need to be done by a bricklayer: 1) 2No. existing 230mm brick walls to be extended in height to approximately 3000mm 2) Front wall of carport to be bricked up to (230mm thick)approximately 3000mm in height, with a double width opening located in the centre of the wall, and the installation of a 5100mm wide steel 'T' Lintel (supplied by client) above opening to support new brickwork above 3) Boundary side wall of Caport to be bricked in (single skin brick wall with engauged 230mm brick piers, to an approximate height of 3000mm Hoop iron to be installed in piers to a minimum depth of 1300mm inside piers, as per engineers computations and a condition of the building permit 4) Rear wall of Carport to be extended and a 3000mm wide opening with a steel 'T' lintel (supplied by client) to support new brickwork above Decorative brick wall extention to the side of the existing porch 1) provide a 1200mm x 470mm x 3200mm high (approx) brick wall to beside existing porch brickwall 2) New brick wall will need to be joined into existing porch wall at every 4th course, as per engineers design 2No. (2100mm x 800mm) windows are being removed on the rear of the living room, brickwork to be installed into old window openings General Notes: 1) Bricks are concrete bricks to match existing brickwork on house and garage 2) External walls of carport to be in "brushed finish" to match existing brushed finish 3) The decorative wall next to the porch to be left as "Flush Joint" finish, due to installation of future tiles 4) Bricks supplied by client 5) Steel Lintels supplied by client 6) Hoop Iron supplied by client 7) Sand/cement to be supplied by client - I only require bricklayer to advise what type prior to site start Approximately 3500 bricks to be layed in total Full working drawings are available Job ready for brickwork in 10 to 14 days for site start
