I would like to build a 1.9 m brick fence at the front of my house, with a pedestrian gate and a separate automatic gate for cars. the new fence will be approx 7.5 m long, plus a 1.5 m return (see next para).
the automatic gate will need to be set back approx 1.5 m from the fence line so that a car will not extend onto the road.
there is currently a 1.5 m brick fence and a separate brick pillar that will need to be removed.
a permit is probably required, but should not pose a problem as i am located on a main road.
