Bricking in of small wall cavity (after removal of aircon unit)

My old wall-mounted aircon unit will be removed from the wall (between the living room and balcony) in my first floor unit - it will be removed during the installation of a split system aircon, and temporarily boarded up. The cavity will need to be bricked in and the internal wall rendered. The area is 660mm wide x 400mm high, and the wall thickness is approx 300mm (double brick, probably common brick?).
