The problem: The bath and shower combo has been wrongly installed. When the shower is being utilised, it allows water to lay on the tiled hob areas surrounding the bath tub without a functional way to drain away via the waste. The wall has been damaged due to the excess water, as well as the grout. The laundry area has some mold and dampness, due to water condensation not being able to flow out.
The solution: Restructure of bathroom to comply with regulations, including setup of laundry. Due to the mould in the ceiling, plaster must be cut out. Due to the ceiling being laden plaster, suggest removal of all and replastering with current plasterboard. Reconstruction of laundry cabinet including exhaust fan. Removal of all damaged wall plaster, in adjacent room and repair as required.
