What is Victoria's feed-in tariff for solar panels? Read on for the details.
Victoria has a net feed-in tarrif. This means that Victorian households can receive payment for the electricity that their solar panels generate if those solar panels generate more electricity than the household uses.
Under Victorian legislation, Victorian households that generate excess electricity and feed it back into the grid will receive a minimum of 60 cents for every unused kilowatt hour that they feed back into the state electricity grid. This 60 cents per kilowatt hour is the minimum, with some energy retailers offering a higher amount. Our research to date has found that the highest amount paid is 68 cents per kilowatt hour by AGL.
