Service Central keeps our ear to the ground and loves to find our the results of surveys that show such positive feeling amongst the Victorian Builders. The Building Commission's 2009 Practitioner survey were released today and here are the highlights.

  • Registered builders find Victoria a great place to work - 87% rated job satisfaction as 'high'.
  • Optimism is reported widely - the building industry practitioners experienced lower profits in the previous two years but this survey shows expectations of higher profits and reports an expectation of a positive economic outlook in the next couple of years.
  • There is steady participation in Continuing Professional Development.
  • The value of being a Registered Building Practitioner is perceived as 'high' with 82% reporting that they value their status highly.
