Drop Box is an innovative new way to keep all of your files up to date and in one place, so you can access them from anywhere.
If you haven't yet heard of Drop Box, then let me just say you're missing out. Drop Box allows you to share multiple files between computers and phones and makes keeping on top of all your documents easy.
How does it work?
When you download Drop Box it creates a 'drop box' folder on your desktop. This drop box folder is like a universal sharing folder. Once you place any files or folders into the drop box folder, they will be uploaded to the Drop box website and can then be accessed from anywhere and from any device.
This means that if you have an important document you can simply pop it in the drop box folder on your desktop and then later open it up from the drop box folder on your phone.
The other powerful feature of Drop Box is its automatic synchronisation. This means that if you add files or make changes to any documents in your drop box folder, all of your other devices linked to Drop Box will have their folder automatically updated.
Will my files be safe?
Yes. Like many other online services, your Drop Box folder is password protected. This means that only you can choose who sees and has access to the content in your folder.
But sharing content is simple. Say you have a folder of photos from your latest holiday that you'd like to share with a friend? Instead of painfully emailing them the photos you can simply create a folder for them in your Drop Box and then invite them to view that folder.
