Seeing Stars - Service Central Businesses rated on Google!
Here at Service Central we recently noticed something that made us really excited. Our registered businesses' star ratings are now showing up next to their name in Google search results!
Well over a year ago we put in place a special system so that Google could read and understand our registered business' star ratings and reviews, however unfortunately at the time Google was only displaying this information in search results for restaurants.
Now it's seeing businesses as well! See for yourselves, search for 'Rescue Plumbing' in Google, (ensuring that you select 'Pages from Australia' in the left column) and you'll see something similar to this:
So, why does this make us excited? Well, just look at it! Stars attract attention, so wherever the listing appears on the page you'll see it almost instantly. Secondly our feedback, star rating and review system is a great tool to help people recognise quality businesses, so seeing that information right there in the search results means people can make an informed decision instantly.
We'll be putting together some more comprehensive information specifically for our registered businesses soon on how they can take advantage of this and really use it to promote their business, so watch this space!
