February 1, 2010, saw the first insurance jobs posted with Service Central as part of a pilot program to bring increased efficiencies into the insurance claims process of one of Australia's largest insurance companies. With over $1 billion worth of home insurance claims managed by this insurance company alone each year Service Central's best and most loyal service providers are now in a unique position to secure access to this work.


What is Service Central's Insurance Network?

Service Central's insurance network combines our best and most loyal service providers with our first of a kind Works Management system built specifically for the insurance industry.

Taking into account the specific requirements and workflows of the insurance industry, the Works Management system enhances the traditional insurance claims process by streamlining the quoting process and allocating insurance work directly to the tradespeople doing the work.

When did the Insurance Network start?

After pre-qualifying and approving Service Central's best and most loyal service providers, they were inducted into the Service Central Insurance Network and work started flowing through to them on February 1, 2010. Initially the insurance work will only be available in Victoria.

Who qualifies for the Insurance Network?

To ensure the success of the Insurance Network and ongoing access to insurance work for Service Central's service providers very strict criteria has been set to qualify for the insurance network.

The criteria for joining the Insurance Network includes:

  • Premium membership (i.e. Jobs Board members and Lifetime memberships do not qualify)
  • Minimum of a 4 star rating with a reputation for quality service.
  • Public Liability Insurance, Licences and Business Registrations are all current.
  • Workcover Insurance is current.
  • Computer literate and logs-into Service Central's online portal regularly.
  • Loyal to Service Central.
