Feel like dressing up as the undead this Halloween? Then why not go out and take some tips from the pros with this series of photos. From false teeth and hair to latex skin and scary contacts, this is one hardcore Zombie costume.
Whoever said actor's have it easy had no idea. Even supporting actors who only have to stumble into the frame and mumble like a monster must think twice before taking on a zombie roll. After all, hours in makeup, even longer in an uncomfortable suit and contacts that can potentially damage your eyes? Yikes!
I have to admit though, the effect IS pretty incredible:
First step: Cover the hair with latex and blend it into the skin with makeup. The teeth are moulded to each individual.
Step Two: Build a new face. And body. With latex. Yep, that sounds fun doesn't it! Then the makeup artists use airbrushes, makeup and paint brushes to blend it and make it look more 'natural' (well, natural for a zombie anyway!)
Step three: Add some stringy hair to really create that decomposing look. Then add the teeth and blood spatters - those details make all the difference.
Step four: Add some terrifying contacts (both in appearance and because if left on too long they can actually damage to the eyes!). What a lovely smile!
