Hot Painting Hues For 2015

What’s on the forecast for 2015 when it comes to paint palettes? If you’re looking for colour inspiration, look no further. Dulux, with a little help from architects Edwards Moore, interior designers Bree Leech and Heather Nette King and textile design studio Bonnie & Neil, have put together a lookbook for the hues which will be making their way into Australian homes and businesses this coming year.

"Wildland"

Wildland draws on the shades most prominent in the Australian landscape, from desert scrub to icy mountaintop. With an emphasis on wilderness and endurance, this collection aims at reconnecting to basic materials, such as timber and stone, and, further, to a primal self.

Silentshift

Here’s a collection which wants to slow everything down. In a world increasingly dependent on smartphones, tablets and interconnectivity, finding a balanced lifestyle has never been more challenging. With simple, dream-like pastels, Silentshift softens this chaos and allows the mind to rest.

Modhaus

Strongly influenced by Memphis design of the 1980s, Modhaus is all about playfulness and vibrancy. Mixing bright, block colours with geometric shapes achieves a striking, yet ordered, canvas. Clean and creative, this collection aims to pump a little life back into functional spaces.

Earthwerks

Inspired by a society occupied with thoughts of environmental destruction, Earthwerks captures our need to be close to nature and our growing desire to eat and live ethically and sustainably. Strongly dominates by greens, browns and greys, the collection creates a sense of earthly dirtiness, of closeness with the outdoors in a domestic setting.
