A man and his sixteen dogs
Can you imagine running not one or two, but 16 dogs beside you while you rode your bike? No leads; through rivers and across roads; all without a single problem?
I don't think I could get even one dog to behave as well for me as these 16 do for this man!
World class sprint sled dog racer, Heini Winter, shows off his incredible team of dogs (and great handling skills) in this video. It's long, but you really only have to watch the first minute or so to catch the gist of it.
These gorgeous dogs are Eurohounds - a cross between the Alaskan Husky and Pointers. Bred as sprint dogs, you'd typically see them in front of a sled, hard at work bearing their master through alpine trails.
So it's nice to see them simply out having fun and being dogs, but still working in the close-knit team that they are. I have to ask, though, how would you deal with 16 dogs worth of dog poo... Yuk!
