Since we started Service Central in 2005, we have been on a mission to bring together Australia’s best tradespeople.
We felt that it was time to weed the Cowboys out of the industry, to rid Australia of the pain of dodgy tradespeople, and to reward the best in the business. To do this we set the standards high from the very beginning. We would only accept people who were serious about their industry, and serious about their business. We did not want people who hadn’t taken the time to set up a proper business or company. Similarly, people who hadn’t taken the time and effort to get their appropriate qualifications and insurances were not invited to join our network.
For the last 8 years we have closely monitored customer feedback. Rewarding businesses that provide great customer service with a 5 star rating, and weeding out the poor businesses and removing them from our network.
This has been a slow and difficult process, however the result is that we have now identified and partnered with some of the best businesses in the country.
2. We get paid on results, so we want your business to win the work
A large number of the businesses registered with the Service Central Network have taken out our “Income Guarantee Memberships”. This means that we are genuine partners that share a vested interest in your businesses success and you winning new customers
Given this, we are passionate about finding the businesses that customers really want. If we can find the businesses that are professional, timely and provide great customer service then they will convert more opportunities into real customers. The better your business is at winning the work, the better our business does too.
This is a big incentive for us. So we work hard to find the best businesses to invite into our Network of Quality Tradespeople.
Furthermore, we refer you to customers who trust us to refer quality businesses. These customers then become “your” customers who may use you time and time again and even refer you to their friends and family … sounds a lot like Word-of-Mouth (WOM) doesn’t it. That is exactly what we do. We are the new, internet form of WOM.

When Customers come to Service Central and find a great tradie for their job, it then gives them the confidence to keep coming back. This repeat usage is great for our business, and is a big driver of new jobs for our network of tradespeople.

We have spent these eight years bringing together a team of high quality dedicated staff, that have in turn helped us bring together a network of high quality tradespeople. We could have taken shortcuts, however we chose to stick to our mission and work hard instead.
These eight years of hard work have helped us create a profitable business model, that works for the members of our network. Our technology is undeniably State of the Art, and it lays the foundation for the growth that we are working towards in the decades to come.

8. Its the Law!
Why does Service Central require our tradespeople to be properly qualified for the work that they do? Its the law silly!
Service Central is here for the long term. We are building a network of quality tradespeople designed to last decades. So we can’t flaunt the law. If the government specifies that you need a builders licence to do building work, we’re going to stick to that. Breaking the law is short term thinking .. and we refuse to associate with short term thinkers.
