panasonic left side of screen 2 inches across and half way down loses colour or showing purple, can still see image behind.
fault seems permanent now.
my tv was fixed 3 times under ext warranty, always the exact same fault. 3 months out of warranty the exact same fault occurs again, miracuously fault dissapears on its own for at least 6 months until i connected a pc to tv then fault returned straight away, maybe it over scanned the tv as parts of desktop were not on screen.
people who fixed my tv each time told me the same panel was replaced each time and its panel C6 ( says alot when the part supposed to be brand new can only last 6 months ),
I found info about this board and bought one from someone who had dismantled my model tv. downloaded the service manual for said tv but i cant see any reference to a C6 board, i can c1,c2,c3. I have extensive knowledge of electronics and was going to replace the board myself but decided to see about a quote firstl.
What is a repair like this liable to cost me and can it be done at my home. With your knowledge of tv's is it worth repairing. jeff
