Smeg Dishwasher - Error code E2

Our Smeg dishwasher (PL8605XTD ?) is giving us error code E2. We have followed the troubleshooting manual and it continues to show this error 11 mins into any program. The dishwasher is less than 2 years old.
When we turn it on we get a PO, then we enter a program and 11 mins into the program it give the E2 error.
Repeated attempts to do the "troubleshooting" that is in the manual have failed.
