My chest freezer stopped working a while back. It seems to be the compressor cutting out for some reason. When I plug it in, the compressor runs for about 30 seconds then cuts out. I've had the freezer unplugged and empty for over a month now, so there should be no ice build up on the coils, and I have had a look at the compressor and seems to be no dust on it. I can only think it may be an electrical problem.
