Miele Dishwasher needs door repair

I can't get the door closed for the dishwasher so assume it is just a latch issue. Working fine apart from that.
It also has a cover panel on it that is too long. After installing a new kitchen the panel hits the kickboards if the dishwasher moves. Would be interested in replacing this or cutting it down.
