LG - LD1415M Dishwasher not working

LG Dishwasher Model No. LD 1415M.
The dishwasher makes loud grinding noises, doesn't wash anything properly, leaves water on all dishes (doesn't appear to be using hot water to wash) and the soap is hard and unused in the dispenser following cycle.
Have tried all cycles - all the same result.
Have used a cleaner to clear scale, etc.
Checked filters, etc as per the manual. All seem OK.
