My hair straightener has gone into "shiver mode" this is from the website describing what that means: -. The purpose of this feature is to stop any kind of electrical failure due to a build up of condensation which can occur if a styler is left in a cold climate. Specifically, if the internal temperature of the styler is below 8 degrees, it will not switch on and heat up normally. Typically, this feature is mistaken as a fault with styler. - My problem is it is still stuck in this mode and I don't want to buy another straightener as this one cost me a few hundred dollars.
