Load stopped mid cycle. Left about 100 - 150 ml of water in the tub.. It seems as though the washing machine stopped at the rinse/spin cycle.. as when testing the different wash and rinse options..... Load stopped mid cycle. It seems as though the washing machine stopped at the rinse/spin cycle.. as when testing the different wash and rinse options.. it seemed fine when the water was entering the washer, however when it came time to spin or rince and spin, it made a funny noise, but nothing was spinning.. it started a constant beep and upon opening the lid to the washing machine, there was a smell of something burning. We have pulled the washing machine apart and there really isnt much to it. The water pump seems fine and the direct drive (where all the coils are) basically looks brand new. Is there anyone that has had a similar problem and can tell me whats wrong with it.. is it an easy and cheap fix - or is it going to be so costly that i should just replace the washing machine with a new one?
