Bosch Serie 4 7kg Washing Machine - E18 error: water not draining from drum

My Bosch washing machine is showing an E18 error. The water is not draining out of the washing machine and is stopping the full wash cycle prematurely. I have consulted the manual and cleared the detergent solution pump. The drain hose does not appear to be blocked (hard to tell as the other end is connected into the machine itself). My suspicions are that the drain pump needs to be replaced (but I am not an expert and could be wrong and would appreciate someone confirming this for me).
Also, I live in an apartment complex in the city and there is no on-site parking available. However, there is limited paid street parking outside and a Wilsons parking complex opposite my apartment.
