ACER 32" LCD TV difficulties starting up - needs repair

ACER LCD 32" TELEVISION Model AT3201W When I turn it on it usually comes on showing perfect picture and sound but the controls (both remote and front panel) do not work. It virtually freezes itself where it was turned off last.
This is rectified by turning off the power at the wall for a few seconds and then turning the power on again.
Occassionally the screen and sound are poor/blacked out but the power off power on works.
BUT now it takes several power off power on before you can get control.
When it is going it works very well.
