Chunlan Split System Air Conditioning Unit
( Small 10A Single Room Unit about 7 years old. )
All the Remote Control Functions work, the Compressor Works OK and the Fan is OK the
Heat / Cool changeover Solenoid seems to be OK the Internal Fan works on Three Speeds and All the Vanes seem to work OK.
However the In Side Unit needs to be Re Terminated and Pressure Tested to check for leaks, and finally the Outside Unit needs to be Re Gassed.
FAULTS:
The unit froze about a week ago then about 3 nights ago there was Fluid (Gas) leaking from the
the Gas Input or Output Pipes at the bottom of unit at wall junction to outside, this went on for
two more nights (each night we could smell a freon smell and the Fluid was FREEZING).
When we try to use it there is no sound of the Gas surging through the Condenser and there is NO Cooling.
I tried running it in TEST MODE @ -15 degree IT FAILED to FREEZE could only here a slight
noise of coolant through the Condenser with the Compressor Running Flat Chat.
Please advise cost to Re Terminate the gas pipes and pressure check the In-Side Unit,
then Re Gas the Out-Side Unit.
