With a few easy to implement changes you could be reducing your water consumption and saving both money and the environment in the process. Water Saving Ideas throughout the House
- Repair dripping taps by replacing washers.
- Using mixer taps that pre-selects the waters temperature rather than wasting water down the drain whilst getting the temperature right.
- Install a rainwater tank.
Water Saving Ideas in the Bathroom
- Install a low-flow showerhead.
- Ensure that your toilet is dual-flush.
- Keep your showers short.
- Don't rinse your razor under a running tap. Instead filling the basin with water can use less water.
Water Saving Ideas in the Laundry
- Only use the washing machine when you have a full load.
- Divert your grey water to your garden, or a grey water system.
