The results are in. Drum roll please ........
In 2009 Service Central generated an amazing 48,665 new jobs for our registered service providers.
And the top 10 services for 2009 are:
  1. Plumbing: 4,556 jobs
  2. Handyman: 3,784 jobs
  3. Appliance Repairs: 3,602 jobs
  4. Electricians: 3,487 jobs
  5. Air Conditioning: 3,339 jobs
  6. Fencing: 1,992 jobs
  7. Carpentry: 1,809 jobs
  8. Refrigeration: 1718 jobs
  9. Concreting: 1,523 jobs
  10. Landscaping: 1,336 jobs
Other services worth a special mention with over 1,000 jobs in 2009 are:
  • Builders: 1,331 jobs
  • Carpet Cleaning: 1,257
  • Painting: 1,217 jobs
  • Insulation: 1220 jobs
  • Cabinet Makers: 1,117 jobs
There were also a few services that missed the magic 1,000 job mark by only a few jobs, including:
  • Home Cleaning: 999 jobs
  • Renovating: 971 jobs
  • Tiling: 971 jobs
  • Roofing: 907 jobs
In all 2009 was a very big year indeed! We now look forward to setting a new record in 2010!
