The general condition of the house is poor and we don't think it has had any serious renovation or maintenance work done in many years. We have a limited budget so we're planning to fix up the house in stages. This means that if we like what you do, there's the possibility of more work in future. Right now we want to replace the kitchen and bathroom, and we want to repair or replace flooring in the sunroom, kitchen, hallway, two bedrooms and lounge room so that there are timber floorboards throughout. This will involve removing carpet from one bedroom and levelling the floor in the sunroom. We plan to design the kitchen through IKEA but we'll need help rendering the walls smooth, moving any plumbing or electrical outlets as required and then installing the new cabinets and appliances. We would prefer to work with one company that can arrange its own plumbers and electricians but we're open to ideas. We expect you to be licensed and insured. We could begin work as early as next week if we find the right builder, and we would like to live in the house throughout most of the renovations. I look forward to hearing from you.
