Intercom and door release

I need an intercom with a buzzer and door release for my studio which is upstairs one level from the front door. I'm unsure if this is possible with the type of door we have. It's a glass door with the lock currently at the underside of the door. If this can be replaced with something appropriate that would be great! As the building is used by other tenants, the door would still need to be able to be accessed with a key and my clients would need to be able to exit without a key. Not sure if this is standard or not?
I need to put a proposal to my real estate before any work can be done as their main concern is that a new system or replacement of lock won't detriment the security of the building. The actual job wouldn't need to take place before mid-Jan, likely end of Jan but I need to forward proposal ASAP.
Could you please email or preferrably phone as to whether this is possible, how much it would cost with full installation and how long it takes to do?
