Add room and deck to existing lowset house

We want to add a big room to the back of our house which will lead out to a large rear deck. House extension probably 4 metres out by 5 or 6mtrs across. Roof will need to be done at same time (poss asbestos) Deck, also under new roof, will be another 4 metres out from the back of the new extension. We need help with the planning and designing of this to ensure we get the best result. Has to be energy efficient too as we are not fans of air conditioning. House is less then a metre off the ground in Deagon, Brisbane north.
