Electrician to replace smoke detectors, sensor light and wiring

I want to replace 2 iod. smoke detectors with 2 photo electric. Also replace a sensor light sensor and help working out whats wrong with my split system a/c - have had an a/c repairer look at it who says that both the fridge unit and main system are okay, but that there must be an electrical fault somwhere in the middle because they aren't "talking" to each other.
