Starting from a few weeks ago, our apartment unit is having blackout at nights.
I noticed that it always happen at night, around 19:00-02:00, whenever we are using our Laundry Dryer machine. The model of our Dryer is Simpson EziSet 350. Its been a few years old.
When it happens, we usually wait for turned the switch back on, wait for 5-10 mins, and turn on the dryer machine again (otherwise the laundry will stay wet). And upon 2 minutes operation, another blackout, until we decided to stop using the drier for the night.
Our apartment unit has 4 bedrooms without people living in each room. Most of the time of blackout, only 1 or 2 rooms are using heater. Computers are on most of the time.
Another electrical appliances in the living room / common room are standard. Fridge, Microwave, TV, Game console, and Modem.
I was thinking that we might put too much strain on the power line, but it is unjustifiable. Even during the last winter, when 4 of the rooms are using heater, dryer machine running, everyone is watching TV and playing computer, there was no blackout at all.
At the moment, I was assuming 2 possibilities, either too much strain, or somehow the drier is playing up and making short circuit when running. But still, there might be some other explanation.
Since I am living in the apartment unit, I dont know where to find the main panel, but there is one small panel switch in the master bedroom. When I open the panel, there are about 10 switches (Up-Down), each labeled: Living Room, Lamp 1, Lamp 2, Kitchen, etc.
I need someone to take a look at my place, and tell me whats the source of the blackout, and fix it.
