Samsung J845 washer, error 3E when spinning

I put the washer into a spin cycle, it rotates once, the motor cuts out and it sits there for 10 minutes. Then the 3E error appears. The same happens during a normal wash cycle when it gets to the spin part.
Previous to this, the unit was squeaking as it spun and vibrating quite a lot. The same problem happens above when it's empty too.
I have tested it without clothes in, cleaned the filter and turned it off at the power for 1hr, but still the same problem occurs.
